World of Warcraft showcases the upcoming Dwarf and Blood Elf heritage armor sets

The lands of Azeroth are peopled with many a proud race — perhaps none so proud as the Dwarves and the Blood Elves, who will soon be able display their pride for all to see with the introduction of their new heritage armor sets coming to World of Warcraft when Tides of Vengeance goes live next month. In a recent update, Blizzard gave players their first looks at the full armor sets for both the stout and hardy Dwarves of Khaz Modan and the elegant, haughty Blood Elves, and we have to say, they’re looking pretty slick.

The Dwarven heritage armor is, like the Dwarves themselves, largely pragmatic but not without some ornamentation indicative of the race’s renowned craftsmanship, including the addition of golden rams’ heads on the pauldrons to pay tribute to the Dwarves’ traditional steed of choice. The Blood Elves, meanwhile, will be outfitted with typical Sin’dorei opulence in armor incorporating the race’s traditional red-and-gold hues and phoenix motifs.

The sets, like all other heritage armor sets, will be available only to max-level characters who are exalted with their respective factions (i.e., Silvermoon City for the Blood Elves and Ironforge for the Dwarves), and players can acquire them by completing a unique quest line that starts at the embassies in Orgrimmar or Stormwind. You can check out the new armor sets in all their glory in the official post on World of Warcraft’s site.
