RIFT opens up the game’s Fae Yule event on its test servers

Being back in Azeroth might be a little more reassuring.

It’s not exactly a fun time to be a RIFT fan. The team reduction and ambiguity about the game’s future following the unexpected Gamigo buyout of Trion certainly doesn’t settle any nerves about the aforementioned unexpected buyout, after all. But the good news is that the game’s test servers have been updated, with both the normal version of the game and Prime now having Fae Yule up for testing. No word on any new content, but the event is testable just the same!

[AL:Rift]The game’s Prime server has other elements up for testing as well, with the Tier 1 raids of Storm Legion enabled for testing after an initial balance pass. There’s no word on a release window for any of this, either; obviously the holiday event suggests it’ll be sooner rather than later, but there’s still nothing concrete. But we imagine fans will be happy for the sign of life alone, since as the update thread notes this is the most news that’s come out about the game since the initial buyout.
