Lord of the Rings Online addresses player suggestions, basks in the glow of college class presentations

Lord of the Rings Online players collaborated recently on a list of suggestions for fixes and features in the MMO, and Standing Stone Games responded to them in a fashion. The topics addressed included favoured chest pulls, high-level instance rewards, the legendary item rework, raids, new hobbies, and stat issues. Don’t get too excited over the list, however, as most of the responses are neutral to the extreme.

In fact, the players found the responses (many of which were a mere “Thanks for the feedback”) to these topics “cold and uncaring,” which put CM Cordovan on the defensive. “The unfortunate reality of lists of questions that contain a moderate number of things that could be rewritten as suggestion statements is that they are difficult to answer in a way that satisfies the questioner,” he posted in response to the discontent over the answers.

Meanwhile, a different community in a college-level high school class studying Tolkien through LOTRO delivered end-of-semester presentations about the author, his world, and the MMO. Check them out after the break!
