If you put any money at all into sci-fi sandbox Dual Universe back during its 2016 Kickstarter, you’re about to have a happy Christmas indeed, as Novaquark announced earlier this morning that it was opening up the game’s newish alpha to everybody who contributed to the campaign.

“Running from December 20, 2018 to January 7, 2019, the Dual Universe community will have more time than ever before to explore the stars and create to their hearts’ content, giving back to the game’s dedicated players who have already set out to create a sci-fi universe worth exploring and celebrating the game’s Alpha launch earlier this month. From fleets of space-worthy ships to hoverbikes, all the way over to an intergalactic representation of one of Earth’s most recognizable fast food joints, Dual Universe’s community lies at the heart of its successes.”

So basically, you’ll have the next couple of weeks over Christmas break to play with alpha and build ships for the company’s ongoing community contest. Have fun!
