Star Wars: The Old Republic celebrates seven years with firework backpacks

Ohhh snap.

It’s been seven years of playing in Star Wars: The Old Republic, and to celebrate the occasion, players can strap a volatile mixture of explosives and rockets to their backs! Even if they’re not Bounty Hunters! Yes, one of the big marquee rewards for this year’s anniversary event is the fireworks backpack, which looks… appropriately festive, let’s say. It’s one of those weird things that you only really see in MMOs, in other words.

But even beyond that, players can pick up a statue commemorating the return of Malgus, the weapon displays for Satele Shan and Darth Malgus, or pick up the base level of the Coruscant and Dromund Kaas strongholds for just seven credits. (They normally run 5,000 credits each, so that’s a discount.) Lots of little gewgaws to celebrate seven years, in other words. Just hop on over to the Republic or Imperial fleets to pick up your goodies before January 15th, 2019!
