Wildcard’s new pirate MMO Atlas has been delayed yet again

If you’ve been refreshing Atlas’ Steam page all day today (guilty), you might have noticed that it didn’t actually launch into early access as planned. That’s because it’s been delayed a few more days, according to Wildcard’s Twitter feed this evening.

In fact, that’s the second delay for the game since it was announced just two weeks ago. It was originally planned to launch on the 13th, but Wildcard pushed it to the 19th, saying it wanted to “give the team more time to run through this massive game’s extensive content.”

The company did not explain the reason for this delay in its latest Twitter announcement, but it does say the game will now hit early access on December 21st, which… well, we’re feeling sorry for the engineers who thought they’d be getting time off for Christmas right now.

On the upside, Wildcard pumped out a new gameplay trailer, so that ought to keep everyone occupied for *checks notes* 3 minutes and 45 seconds.
