Rumored Perfect World console remaster combat footage leaks

It’s not uncommon these days for classic (or cult classic) games to receive remakes and remasters some years after their initial release, and rumor has it that Perfect World will be getting a remastered console release in the near future. According to YouTuber ArchoEyrda, who uploaded a video that supposedly shows leaked footage of the in-development title (which you can watch for yourself below).

In addition to the video itself, ArchoEyrda has dug up a few sources containing additional information about the remake, though it’s worth pointing out that all of these sources are in Chinese, so we’re unable to completely verify them. If the sources (and thus ArchoEyrda) are to be trusted, however, the game will run on Unreal Engine 4 and will be released sometime in 2019 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Gameplay details are currently scarce, but rumor has it that it will feature “combo-based combat” supplemented with occasional quick-time events. That’s all we know for now, but we’ll be sure to keep an eye out for more information as it comes out.
