Path of Exile’s team is back at work with the first Betrayal League patch of the year

There's some vintage updates here, you know.

It’s good to know that the team behind Path of Exile took some time off for the holiday, since all outward indications are that this is one hard-working development team. But it’s also a team that’s back at work now, prepping up the first patch of the year for the game’s Betrayal League, including a whole lot of fixes for various bugs in the League and the game in general. After all, don’t you feel better knowing that “Chance to Impale” is now displayed correctly on the character panel? We certainly do. The patch should be launching today, although that hasn’t been announced as of this writing.

The team also has finished the trip down update memory lane with the final part of the game’s update retrospective, moving through the Legacy League rollout up to the recent Delve League. If you’ve enjoyed a trip into the dewy slopes of prior game updates, this is the conclusion of that! Everyone needs a good look into the past every so often.

Take that Syndicates! Aislin and Raker can fuckoff. I always get to the end of a tile and a unique drops, RIGHT THEN those two pop out of a portal and OP assassinate me. Guess who gets to run all the way back from the starting portal? I’m lucky if the unique is still sitting there.

Still, I’m loving this game at the moment.

Nothing major that I can see, but some nice fixes. Still quite enjoying this league, even if the diversity of activities is a bit of a double edged sword when all you want to do is delve all day or spend all day doing alva temples.

Already far further in the game than I’ve ever been and still quite enjoying myself, hoping all these mechanics get folded into normal after this league ends because I totally want to keep playing my molten strike jug.

GGG totally earned the money I threw at them for this league, been having a blast.

The first nerf to the Syndicate was needed. I feel this new one is excessive.

I dunno – once you get into the higher maps the forts did get a little nuts. I actually ran into the forts to get away from the spawned mobs. The Syndicate members were the easier fight. That doesn’t seem right either.

I did just now do a research on a lvl 75 map – it was much, much easier. too easy.
