Housing wish fulfillment (or lack thereof) was the main theme running through last week’s community postings here at One Shots. Where would we like to live in MMOs, either virtually or for real?
One thing is for certain: Toy Clown is far too classy for the likes of us. I mean, my own house doesn’t look anywhere near as nice as this Final Fantasy XIV shot!
“Oh, how I wish I could get the entire apartment into a shot, but too many partitions,” Toy Clown posted. “I also wish I had a nice garden tub and make-up kit like my character has in FFXIV.”
Mysecretid certainly skews to the scifi end of the spectrum, especially with this choice: “As a runner-up choice, there’s always my gunslinger’s hideout under the seas of Manaan in Star Wars: The Old Republic. One of the tricks to being a successful smuggler in the Star Wars universe? Always hide where the Empire would never think to look!”
Hikari was taken in by this cultist cabin in the woods in Secret World Legends. If you get invited to go on a camping trip there, I would recommend you either decline or notify your next of kin.
“We have been using this for RP as the House of Light Farmhouse for years,” Hikari said. “It has a fireplace, TV, kitchen and some other nice usable features. It’s open to the world, so it would be nice to have an instanced version.”
Then again, maybe you already had your ideal MMORPG house. And maybe it was taken away from you against your will. #RIPWildStar
“This was my house. I would like it back again please,” Utakata said.
You hear that, NCsoft? You made Utakata cry, so you better make this right!
One of the 11,000 or so souls sailing across the virtual galaxy in Elite: Dangerous is MOP reader Xijit, who is photojournaling this massive player experience. Happy trails!
“Getting ready for Distant Worlds 2,” the captain posted. “First time I have been excited for an in-game event in years.”
Speaking of player events, this week’s screenshot challenge is to post you actually engaging in something off of the developers’ path and with the community. Show us a time you were part of a player event, partying with guildies, or something else that didn’t have XP tied to it!
