World of Warcraft patches in its new raid and its new season of items for Tides of Vengeance

Well, it's still there.

It’s time to head into the Battle of Dazar’alor in World of Warcraft, so long as you’ve got a regular group to head into a normal raid. (You’ll have to wait for LFR and Mythic, as usual.) The raid is out today, along with the general upgrade to season 2 for all of the game’s gearing. Bigger numbers on world quest items, bigger numbers on Warfront items, bigger numbers on Mythic+ rewards. Bigger everything!

If your mind is still calibrated to Legion-era item level numbers it probably doesn’t look all that much larger, but we assure you that it is.

The second season also marks the start of Azerite Knowledge increasing on a steady scale through February and March, along with a higher maximum possible item level of 425. Enemies in the Darkshore Warfront have also been upgraded concurrently to the item level bump, so they’ll hit harder while rewarding better gear. Check out the full rundown for details of the exact item upgrades and get geared up for the new raiding paradigm.

I have to admit I am so very weary of the current content and continued “gotta go to work tonight” feeling of raids in WoW end game- so tired of it.

And don’t make the same silly mistake I did and think it was Patch 8.1.5 that dropped…and wondering stupidly why the Allied Race selection is still at 3 per side. :(

Man real talk, anyone else notice the alliance side intro cutscene has really shitty facial animation for WoW’s modern standards. When Jaina pulls her hood up her voice actress is trying to give off this impassioned yell but her face is just slack and its like only her jaw moves.

I mean i’m sure people would tinfoil say its just budget cuts but its the first time i’ve felt like anything related to WoW’s art team has regressed and when the art team is basically the last gold standard the game rides on thats a depressing thing to notice.

I’m just gonna sit the rest of this expac out until Blizzard, at a minimum, takes out that horrible Azerite Armor system and replaces it with something better.

Apparently redoing the Azerite system will be done in 8.2.

Which, uh, you’ll note is very close to the end of the expansion.

Blehhh… I saw the most recent update was “WE ADDED MOAR RINGZ!!!” which apparently is supposed to make azerite better (haha) but made me want to stab myself :( I’ve been playing since Vanilla, this is the first expansion I have been so frustrated I quit.

Yes, the lack of rings was definitely the top complaint of Azerite gear. R-right?

BFA has been lame in a lot of ways, but I’m actually looking forward to BFD. It has bosses I actually semi-care about and a neat theme to it. I even like the whole “play as the other side to witness their version of events” idea.

Grmbll who’s the military genius who came up with the idea of splitting the raid like that, first you pump up the “faction pride” and then tell me to go and try play for the other side killing my own heroes and leaders?

Far as I am concerned, the raid stops at rastakhan… I shall not partake into aggression toward members of the alliance, masqueraded as a cow or whatever!
