Everything's about proper literacy with you!

With a new expansion on the way in July and a continual schedule of content updates, you may very well be tempted to try out Final Fantasy XIV. And if you’re a Twitch Prime subscriber, you can do that now without having to pay an additional dime, as the game’s starter edition is available for free until May 3rd. That means access to everything in the base game as well as a free month of subscription, just as a bonus for Twitch subscribers.

Of course, this free edition does not include the game’s two existing expansions, which means that it only can be played up to the end of the base game’s story and does not include subsequent expansion jobs (Dark Knight, Astrologian, Machinist, Samurai, and Red Mage). Still, it’s a free chance to see how the game plays and get invested without additional outlay, so it’s well worth taking advantage of the promotion if you haven’t bought the game before now.
