The latest update for Star Wars: The Old Republic, GU 5.10.1: The Wretched Hive, is live today, bringing with it a brand-new lair boss, new masterwork weapons, and of course a sprinkling of bug-fixes and other minor adjustments. In the spotlight for this update is the new Geonosian Queen lair boss. Initially created by the Sith Lord Darth Malora to breed her mutated Geonosian warriors, the Geonosian Queen has since been left “unguarded and unsupervised,” and her spawn are now running rampant. It’s up to players to put a stop to the Queen and her brood before they overtake the entire planet of Ossus.
Those who manage to triumph over the Geonosian Queen will find themselves handsomely rewarded with crafting materials that can be used to create new masterwork weapons. But if you’re not lucky enough to get the mats you need from the boss, don’t worry; you can also buy them from a vendor with Monumental Shards, which can be earned as rewards for completing missions on Ossus.
