Love is in the bear.

Love is in the air everywhere you look around. And what better way to celebrate love than through an event in a game centered chiefly around smashing monsters to bits for loot? Let’s get on with it by catching up on another batch of MMO Valentine’s Day events, shall we?

AdventureQuest 3D is going to be offering players a set of specialized gear for Hero’s Heart Day on Thursday, the sort of outfit that just screams you’ll be bisecting these random monsters in the name of love, baby. They’ve also got some choice pickup lines for the fellow player in your life.

Defiance 2050 is just going to be filled with love… between hellbugs. Yes, it’s hellbug mating season. Which means that the event of celebrating love will see you mowing down a huge number of hellbugs who are mostly just roaming around being DTF. That’s a bit of a thematic disconnect.

Of course, it makes perfect sense for gods to intervene in the matters of love in Skyforge, this is a god thing. Complete quests and deal with a dryad who has fallen in love with the celestials, and you’ll be rewarded with currency to buy all sorts of thematic gear.

Last and arguably least, Chronicles of Elyria is in love with your money. How else could you explain the fact that it’s got a Valentine’s Day event consisting of a number of romantic items for sale in its microtransaction shop? Love comes in all forms, it seems.

Skyforge event cosmetics are really good this year: wings, tail, musical instrument emotes, costumes. If only there were people in the game…

To be fair, quite a large swath of games have holiday costumes that appear in their cash shops :P

Chronicles has a release date set roughly for 2020 and isn’t even in alpha yet, I don’t think.
