Bonus question: What sort of pet would you love to have regardless of space or care requirements?

Andrew Ross (@dengarsw): Another Pokemon Go and Let’s Go weekend, but I think it’s paying off. It’s not just motivating me to walk but to work out in general, and I’m able to wear more of my old clothes again!

While I’d love to have a pet bear, temperament is also a bit of an issue so I’m going with a capybara. They’re cute, semi active, semi aquatic, and curious. Oh, and big enough to take on a walk!

Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): Drowning in work – why did so many good people apply for our open positions and make deciding so hard?? – but I’m going to try to make it into Torchlight Frontiers this weekend to see whether it was worth my hype.

Chris Neal (@wolfyseyes, blog): Well, let’s see. Torchlight Frontiers’ alpha will be a thing, the whims of the CMAlings in Legends of Aria, further Chonky Armor Adventures in Anthem….but first, lots of sleep.

In regards to pet, I just want a pupper or kitter. I’m simple (boring). If we’re talking fantastical, though, then it has to be the fishing otter from Final Fantasy XIV.

Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): Time to keep working on leveling secondary jobs on my alts in Final Fantasy XIV! Why? Because I’m tedious. I’ve also finished Spider-Man and so I think it’s time to pick up Assassin’s Creed Odyssey in earnest.

You couldn’t separate me from my cats, but if I had the choice I’d love to also have a tegu and a fox as pets. Unfortunately, we don’t really have the space or environment right for a tegu, and foxes aren’t really pets. Shame.

Justin Olivetti (@Sypster, blog): Since Lord of the Rings Online and Dungeons & Dragons Online are having issues this week, I’m going to look elsewhere for fun. Project Gorgon and DC Universe Online are on my list, so maybe those? My daughter wants to build a house together in The Sims 4 as well.

Patron Pierre: Sorry for the long absence here, MOP readers, but things have been really busy at work these last months. But I’m back this weekend. And I’m playing The Division as some kind of training to get prepared for the launch of The Division 2 on Tuesday 12th (yes, I’m weak: I bought the Ultimate edition of the game to be able to play three days in advance, and only Uplay because of the cute Teddy Bear trinket, a Uplay exclusive).
I’m so excited to play TD2 as I didn’t take part in the betas; I didn’t want any spoiler on the beginning of the game. I like to discover everything when a new game launches.
I hope you have a great gaming weekend too, dear MOP readers. Cheers!

Your turn!

Ramping up for eq tlp on saturday. Going for the initial rush to see if I can get max level in one session, possibly just that but lets see if I stick around.

I’ve known people with pet foxes. They often describe them as a bit like a cross between a cat and a dog.

I’ve been playing Pokemon Revolution Online, Pokemon Platinum, Pokemon Ultra Moon, and TemTem (only two of those are MMO, though).

Also, I redownloaded my favorite matchmaking shooter game: Gotham City Imposters. Once I am able to get a new mouse, I’m gonna grab some Little Caesar’s Pizza, some Hawaiian Punch, and jump into the game to fight for Gotham in the looniest and most stupidly-fun ways.

Finally, I got a 5-week puppy a few weeks ago (She is 8 weeks now), and my Gerbil died last week so I am at a good place pet wise, but if I had the space and money I would definitely want a pet toucan. They are very affectionate birds and have soft beaks so they make great pets…if you have a space for a very large bird enclosure, can afford the 8,000+ cost to obtain one, an exotic pet vet nearby, among other things. My family and I are looking at the possibility of getting one as an Emotional Support Animal when I am able to move out of my apartment and into an actual house, but that will be a while.

I was looking forward to a long weekend accomplishing some early goals in Warframe but then my internet took a dive for three days, so I wound up playing my own little homemade games and watching movies.

The only thing Ive played in the last 2 weeks was TauriWoW private server (Mists of Pandaria). I level slowly doing every quest in every zone.

Not yet.
two scenarios will make me regret this:
1) game sucks or a classic bait and switch. Demo was fun but the game isn’t.
2) the game goes on sale in 2 or 3 weeks because whatever reason.

The second I can live with – buyer beware and $20 won’t kill me; the first I can’t.

But even if I make a mistake I’ll more than make up for it in pure entertainment value trolling Ubisoft for the next 5 years or so. So really, I can’t lose.

me too. But I was hungry for a shooter and I really enjoyed the demo

Reader

I enjoyed the demo too but priced too high for me. It made me throw down 10 bucks for the division gold edition :)

Goobbue … I would need to redesign my house but yea …

Because LOTRO was down, I thought I’d take a turn in WURM. And I had to check steam, and unlimited was on sale …. So now I am trying to figure out everything trying to find a server etc. etc. So now I have a second different type of game to tool (pun intended) around in. If I ever manage to do anything, beyond cutting logs I’ll let you know. :)

Stalled in Another Eden, but going to advance/finish the main story soon.

Picked up Dragalia Lost, its… cuter and more appealing than I expected? Helps that it appears to have some measure of gay inclusion.

And it has the most deviously addictive gacha music..

This week: Not much different from last week. >.<

Also this week: Working on a new piece for my artwork to which I am not ready to show yet.

As well as: I need to contact Mr. rafael about "registering" my account with Blade & Soul at some point.

And finally: Despite the cheerful hue my pigtails adorn, my humor is off color sometimes. :(

Have a great week and weekend! <3

I have some solitary moments. They are a bit less constant in my life nowadays, considering i’m back to studying and i like that. I’ve never been someone to really have much in the way of social life, and i realized, a bit too late, that it took a toll on my psychological health, so i’m fixing this now. I don’t really have to stop being an introvert, but the tendency to become a shut-in exists, and i have to keep it in control.

After the Carnaval holidays, which i spent with my mom, her friends, and one of my ex-gfs ( we’re friends now ), i now get the peace and quiet i deserve, after also a pretty rough class friday.

So, i’m reading some mangas, quite a lot of good ones, i play my Magic dailies and Smite dailies. I really need to get into a MMO. I really wanted to get into SWG:L but i really don’t know anyone to play that.

And i drew a lot these weeks in class. My sketchbook is a thing of the heavens.

Btw, anyone who’s interested: I upload all this garbage on my Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/dream.peixera/

Gotta make my name.

I’m going to Carnaval one last time in my life. roughly 10 years from now. I’ll be staying at the Copacabana and getting primo seating at the sambadrome. I have been twice – I want my children to see it in absolute luxury before I retire from Brazil visits.

Come be my tour guide! I am an introvert as well – but I love people!

Copa is on Rio, i’m really far away from Rio.

Have fun on Copa, is a cool place, but Mardi Gras > Carnaval for sure.

I know you live up the coast in Recife. I’ve considered Recife, my college Portuguese teacher lived there for two years and loved it, but for a tourist I probly won’t. Brazil is too vast to see everything. So I stick to Rio and the surrounding areas and one day I hope to visit Amazonia and go fishing.

For me, there isn’t much that compares to the sambadrome during carnaval. The US doesn’t have anything like that. No place does really.

Actually, while the sambadrome is something special on it’s on, the Carnaval on it’s entirety is something felt differently according to the regions. For instance, i’m sure the Rio’s Carnaval is known worldwide but you never really felt Carnaval if you didn’t went through Olinda’s streets following the party.

But yeah, Brazil is huge, don’t blame you.

Never went up north, i know that the amazon region is known for being like a place where you go to relax, see nature and all, but i didn’t know it was a fishing spot.

And maybe is the bias speaking, but i mean, i never seen anything like Mardi Gras, it just seem incredible.

Are you talking about the United States version of Mardi Gras? Mardi Gras is fine but it is nothing like Rio’s Carnaval. It pales in comparison in every way. It is like a poor man’s carnaval.

I love Mardi Gras in New Orleans – lots of fun – but not really my bag. I used to go to New Orleans 5-7 time s a year (dated a NOLA lady) so really I tend to avoid the big crowds as I’ve seen that plenty of times. New Orleans is easily one of the Us’s great cities. It reminds me of Rio in that there is much heightened danger, but a lot to unlock if you aren’t a frightened person.

edit: was just looking at Galo da Madrugada on wiki – it looks like so much fun! I love river/water festivals.

Reader
Bruno Brito

I mean New Orleans, yeah. It always seemed to be awesome, NO is a cool city with a shitload of history. And yeah, it’s pretty “brazilian-like”. Dangerous as hell, but if you’re brave, you’ll have a lot of fun.

The Galo this year looked like a drugged jackal.

What am I playing? Not sure, probably a smorgasbord of games in which I never really progress in any of them. So in essence, time wasters when I’m at home. But really, nothing is really calling me out to play, just no motivation.

What kind of pet? Not exactly a pet but I would love to take care of an Elephant.
