Over the weekend, we covered player datamining that appeared to suggest RIFT, now under the management of Gamigo, is due to receive some sort of battle pass, likely a limited-time daily quest generator tied to seasonal rewards and a specialty experience track – the sort popular in other multiplayer games the last few years. This afternoon, Gamigo confirmed that the battle pass is indeed on the way – “coming soon.”
But beyond that, we know nothing. The tweet doesn’t include more information on what to expect, nor is there anything on the official game forums or website as we type this, which is weird because Gamigo is on Twitter requesting feedback on it anyway.
Course, that’s not stopping the frustrated RIFT community – you’ll recall the players are still reeling from Gamigo’s cancellation of the game’s progression server – from putting together its own thread to discuss the battle pass in detail.
