World of Warcraft continues to speed up Heart of Azeroth level acquisition

World of Warcraft is the sequel to the far less successful World of Tense Diplomacycraft.

See into the future.

Are you still struggling to get your Heart of Azeroth leveled to catch up with the World of Warcraft crowd? The good news is that Blizzard has changed some plans in order to give laggers a boost in the rate of artifact knowledge acquisition between now and Patch 8.2.

“The Azerite Knowledge system that periodically reduces the artifact power required to level up the Heart of Azeroth was originally intended to pause after this week,” the studio said. “However, after considering feedback and looking at current Heart levels across the community, we’re extending it for another four weeks. The final increment until the upcoming Rise of Azshara content update will now occur with the weekly reset the week of April 23.”

Patch 8.2 will contain a major update to the Heart of Azeroth system, which is why Blizzard wants as many players as possible to hit level 50 on it beforehand. Players have many issues with this system, which has been widely seen as inferior to the artifact weapon of the Legion era.

The mechanic sucks and my wife and I aren’t at level 50 with any of our capped characters. I think we might have two that are around 40th level. I really dislike the system and rarely log in anymore.

Since everyone thinks the systems sucks and stop leveling we will lower the requirements. Wait why has everyone left already!!

The original artefact weapon design, being additional growth *while levelling and shortly after* was fine. The issues started with the constant extension of the system. No one wants this never ending grind outside of new gear / content updates.

They basically took the worst parts of the system and ran with it, while taking the fun parts out. Being the new abilities and unique class effects.

“However, after considering feedback and looking at current Heart levels across the community…”

I would loooooooove to see the descriptive statistics relating to Heart of Azeroth growth over the course of the expansion. I’m sure it paints a vivid picture of the reception of the system.

That’s nice but I am not playing BFA but I would love the box price to be refunded.

This is a good change, glad to see they’re adjusting due to feedback rather than telling folks “It’s fine.” I guess their internal metrics must back up the complaints that folks aren’t a fan of this new system at all.

They know, they’re also backed into a corner (their own doing). I’m sure Ion would love nothing more than ripping the heart right out ;)!

They already went through the period of telling folks “It’s fine”, at this point denial isn’t helping their profit margins.

They are past denial; they caved a while ago and have already announced there will be a fundamental rework in 8.2. TBD. Naturally, what they will do – or anything they could do – will not be well received in certain quarters.

…or least to the point that their digging in has become all too obvious. O.o

” I guess their internal metrics must back up the complaints that folks aren’t a fan of this new system at all.” clearly seems to be true. But it does not have much to do with this article. Artifact power, azurite powers and HoA were going to be dramatically changing in 8.2 regardless of this announcement, for the reason you mentioned.

This is just a QoL issue to make it even easier for people to be capped at 50 when 8.2 hits.

Last week, the plan was that 1 AP in four weeks will increase your neck the same as a 1 AP today.

Currently, this new plan is that 1 AP in four weeks will increase your neck the same as a 2.86 [1.3^4] AP today. The 1.3 boost per week was scheduled to occur 10 times this patch; they just upped it to 14.

the problem is that the entire system is flawed. Making it “easier” doesn’t fix that the content you do to level the heart sucks.

That grey blurb at the top is the most accurate of the day.

‘Nuff said.
