WRUP: The ultimate pointless logic test edition

This is a guard.

Before you are several doors, each of which has a guard in front of it. You are allowed to ask any question of the guards, but only one door is safe. One guard always tells the truth. One guard always lies. One guard sometimes tells the truth and sometimes lies. One guard sometimes tells the truth and sometimes just pretends he didn’t hear you. One guard sometimes pretends she didn’t hear you and sometimes answers you in the form of song lyrics off of the Evanescence album “Fallen.” (She only responds that if you ask about song lyrics.)

One guard always tells the truth, but in a language you don’t speak. One guard translates that language, but always lies. One guard just does dances no matter what you ask. One guard will tell you the answer for the low price of $15.99. One guard forgets the question halfway through his answer. Given all of this, what question can you ask all of the guards at the same time to realize that this is stupid and just go back the way you came? Please leave your answer in the comments of What Are You Playing to inform anyone but us. Thank you.

Bonus question: What toppings do you like on your burgers? (And if you prefer veggie burgers, note that too!)

Andrew Ross (@dengarsw): More Pokemon Go and Let’s Go. I really want a good Yanma… and Giratina!

For burgers, spicy, cheese spicy sauce, thick cut bacon, and a soft fried egg. So good!

Andy McAdams: I probably won’t get as much play time this weekend as I’d like. I have a friend’s bachelor camping event which will consume my Saturday game time. What little time I do have is going to be spent (predictably) in Final Fantasy XIV.

I don’t eat red meat, so I’m a turkey burger or veggie burger kinda guy. Occasionally a portobello burger. Cheese, barbecue sauce and crispy onions. I love me some barbecue. Except on the portobello burger, that sounds kinda gross.

Brianna Royce (@nbrianna, blog): Guild Wars 2 please and thank you! I expected to be further along in season three this week, but being sick meant I didn’t get to play. I’m feeling a bit better now, so I’m going to try to get back in there.

Just cheese, please! If it needs a ton of toppings to bury the flavor or lack thereof, it’s probably not a burger worth eating (for me) anyway.

Chris Neal (@wolfyseyes, blog): I’m basically dealing with an itchy trigger finger; The Division 2 and a return to Destiny 2 are in the cards. I am side-eyeing Final Fantasy XIV once again. I also am just having casual gear chase fun with Dauntless, so that will likely be a primary feature. Lots of choices!

Bacon, mushrooms, and a good, melty cheese are some of my prime burger toppers, but I recently picked up the Bob’s Burgers cookbook which has opened my eyes to the possibilities. Chevre cheese with diced cucumber, tomatoes, dill, and a touch of mayo mixed together is something to behold. Use it on a garlic and herb seasoned burger and go to town on that tastiness.

Eliot Lefebvre (@Eliot_Lefebvre, blog): A bunch of stuff to do in Final Fantasy XIV, as you do. Beyond that, I’m not sure; I did pick up Bayonetta for a song when it was on sale for five bucks, but I’ve still got Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey to make progress in.

Burgers are one of my favorite foods and I love all of the different ways they can be prepared. Lately I’ve been focusing a lot on mixing in sweet flavors; some pineapple and sweet-and-sour sauce can really pick out the undertones of a bison burger. My wife loves the thanksgiving burgers I make; turkey burgers with stuffing, cranberry sauce, and onions as toppings.

Justin Olivetti (@Sypster, blog): April is my personal MMO safari month, which means that I’m checking out many titles that I never have before. Next up? DC Universe Online, which should be a novel experience. Probably will go villain, because that’s not a typical choice, but I don’t expect great storylines or anything. Other than that, I’m questing in Lord of the Rings Online‘s Lothlorien and wrapping up level 5 dungeons for Dungeons & Dragons Online.

Mia DeSanzo (@neschria): I will be playing The Elder Scrolls Online and Shroud of the Avatar. I have a list of goals for Black Desert Online, but that list is endless, and I am trying to focus on the others.

I like blue cheese and fried onions on a burger. I will also accept feta.

Tyler Edwards: Anthem and possibly some The Division 2. I’m on the cusp of unlocking my final Javelin (Ranger) and look forward to taking it for a test drive. Also more D&D, as ever. Going to an epic (multiple parties across multiple tables contributing to the same story) on Sunday. I plan to play my Dwarf war cleric/fighter. She’s my go to for general Adventurers League events right now. Fun fact: She’s an adaptation of one of my World of Warcraft characters.

I’m vegan, so it’s veggie burgers for me. At home, I generally make them with a hefty dose of avocado and jalapeno mustard on a rosemary focaccia bun. Sometimes I add lettuce, tomato, or pickles, but usually I’m too cheap/lazy. With fast food, I usually order lettuce, tomato, pickles, and mustard. Sometimes avocado if it’s an option, though restaurants usually don’t add enough for my taste.

Damn it, Eliot, now I’m hungry.

Still in Elite: Dangerous, for the most part. I’ve been trying my hand at anti-xeno – i.e. Thargoid – combat lately, also working a bit on my combat rank, in the process. Yesterday I hit the eponymous rank of “dangerous”. This unlocked Lori Jameson, the last engineer I was still missing, yay! But here combat rank progression is getting so slow that I stopped with that, for now, and went back to exploration, planning and preparing for my next trip into the black. Currently I’m farming mats to engineer a Phantom.

Also, I wanted to check out Outward but not sure I gonna find the time. I’d also be interested in Operencia, but it’s Epic exclusive, so /pass.

Congrats on your combat rank – I’m hovering at the top end of “Expert”, a couple of ranks below you, but have no desire to watch it tip over into the next one up. It’s a pain in the neck getting interdicted by three Pythons in a row (as happened last night), and if I rank up from their skill level will go up from what I understand!

If I keep getting this sort of trouble (I’m out at Sothis at the moment), I’ll be parking my Krait Mk 2 up and requesting that they ship my iClipper all the way from the bubble – that has no guns but great boost, and I use it as a blockade runner to simply outrun everything.

Oh, and congratulations on unlocking that last engineer – I think I’ll be missing that one for a while! :)

Are you speaking of interdictions by NPCs or other players? I assume NPCs.

I wasn’t aware of the fact that interdictions (by NPCs) get more frequent and more difficult when ranking up, but I suspected as much because for a couple days now I get interdicted even without having cargo or anything (that hardly ever happened before). Wasn’t sure about it because I spent the last 1-2 weeks in Thargoid infested systems, so I thought maybe it has something to do with that.

If it’s true that interdictions get more frequent with increasing combat rank it would be one of the most stupid features I ever heard of. I mean, as reward for your players going through the progression you annoy them with an idiotic quick time event / mini-game, that isn’t even a challenge/risk, just a waste of time.

btw: I’d recommend not submitting to NPC interdictions*, except you are in an extremely slow ship (like a Type 9). Once you get the hang of it, you can evade 100% of the time. It’s still annoying, though, because you lose time and usually end up facing the opposite direction of your destination.

* only for interdictions by other players the general advice is to not fight them, afaik.

Yes, these were NPC interdictions – while I will PvP occasionally on a fair battlefield, I am not a fan of deliberately one-sided engagements and hence I solo or co-op Elite rather than play in open.

Regarding NPCs, it’s not that the interdictions get more plentiful (that’s a product of missions and/or cargo you’re carrying…supposedly) but that the NPC combat ranks increase as yours does. So in short, the enemies get harder as your combat rank goes up. Purely anecdotally, it feels to me like their ships get bigger as yours does as well – I only ever see Pythons and Anacondas coming after me these days. But then who’d take on a Krait Mk 2 in a Sidewinder, eh? :)

I agree with you generally speaking regarding avoiding interdictions – I usually evade and waltz off on my merry way. However, when I have 7 stops on rotation in two systems (4 in Sothis, 3 in Ceos) and the same three NPCs continually interdict me, sometimes wrecking their Pythons is the only way to get the message across :)

Good to know it does not occur more often with higher rank. Must’ve had some other reason in my case, last week.

Oddly, my experience with evading is a bit different. I hardly ever see an NPC trying again. Only if I have to relog I can be sure to get interdicted within a couple of minutes after logging back in (if I’m running missions and/or carrying cargo), but after that there’s nothing for quite some time.

Anyways, good luck for your future trips in the galaxy!

Well, I’ve been outside doing yard work and generally cleaning up here and there today. Spring is upon us in Indiana and there’s lots to do before we head out for Florida for a very late and extended spring break/anniversary. I have a full two weeks of traveling lined up where it looks like I’ll be going from one end of the United States to the other, then meet the Mrs. down south for two weeks of us time. It’ll be a good time by all. Happy 2nd Anni to us! :)

As far as gaming goes, I’ve been dabbling here and there in GW2 and ESO and that’s really about it. I might fire up BDO tonight and see what’s going on in there. Otherwise, I’m finally getting around to reading Taliesin, part of the Pendragon Cycle by Stephen Lawhead. He doesn’t disappoint!

Finally, the bonus!! I’m not that much of a burger fan these days as red meat really upsets my stomach and has generally become a very grumpy traveler. When I did eat burgers there was nothing quite like a gourmet burger with ketchup, mustard, pickle and lettuce. Veg burgers are okay and all and we certainly have plenty of them around the house(the Mrs is mostly vegetarian), but they can’t hold a candle to a good beef burger!

Still exhausted. Getting in touch with having a life is hard, specially a demanding one, but i’m going through it. I also had to play 5 horrible games in Magic Arena against Esper decks. It was painful.

I’m thinking about leveling my Commando in SWG:L today. I have a color assignment from my class, so i’m deciding the priority of both.

Enjoy the Nevus. I was trying to set his design, and i’m finally happy with this one. It’s functional and it has the elements i wanted him to have.

I’m tired :c

“Before you are several doors, each of which has a guard in front of it. You are allowed to ask any question of the guards, but only one door is safe.”

Why would I be asking any questions? Surely the only question for trash mobs is ‘CC or AOE’?

…annnnd in other news, still playing Fallout ’76 and a bit of Far Cry: New Dawn.

deep, deep breath…. rambling powers activate!

neverwinter (warning:stronk language

THOSE EVIL BUNNY HUGGING DEVS CLOSED OFF NEARLY ALL THE BREAKS I HAD FOUND IN INVISIWALLS TO JUMP ON TOP OF BUILDINGS!!!
grrr, i bet they were just WAITING for me to be away most of last year when they did that…huff

anyway, got grumpo to try and preview the upcoming changes… for a few minutes at least… and i know i realized very late that this title was more actiony than their other games, and he was using the paladin class to get around the fast paced gameplay… but the changes they are implementing makes all the classes at par, so paladin now has a much more active focused (and enforced) playstyle like the other classes

and maybe just maybe convince him to try a gaming mouse as it keeps being suggested (his arm be busted)

anyway, never planning to forgive the devs.

champions online (pic related)

foxbatcon week 2, got the “backup” device for foxbat to come to my aid~ which i had missed when it was implemented as a bonus (i think last year). he has the MEGA AWESOME attack that does a MILLION dmg o.o

not really, you summon him, he sees all the enemies around him… makes an excuse AND RUNS AWAY, that little grr….

also got the new addition of a googly eyed cat this year… it is a real cat in a foxbat suit… the Foxcat… it is an action figure :P (tiny summonable – and googly eyed – non combat pet)… attached pic… hope it works

now just gonna do the easier daily mission to get some more event currency and actually buy something

star trek online
two more days before i get the replica of a tommy gun from the first contact day event~ then i am wearing a suit and hunting down some borg to make them an offer they can’t resist…

…that was terrible, i know…

anyway, LOADS of sorting and settling to do on trek

but i did manage to do my personal daily mission, i.e.: log on grumpo’s account to shift the hues of his outfits by one…. he has trouble differentiating certain hues and i like to see how long it takes him to realize his uniforms are turning pink…

…i am a terrible wife, i know, shuddup

This weekend it’s more Sekiro and Pillars of Eternity. I’m enjoying Sekiro, but there is something about it’s difficulty curve I don’t like. Not in the sense that the game is too hard, but .. well, I don’t have the words to describe it yet. It’s just a feeling.

I’m also still plugging away at FFXIV. I leveled BLU to 50 to farm Allied Seals for all of the vanilla riding maps, I farmed enough Centurio Seals to buy all the Heavensward riding maps, and now I’m farming yet more Centurio Seals to buy all of the Stormblood riding maps. And theeeeen I’m going to keep farming Centurio Seals so that I can potentially already have a lot on-hand for the eventual Shadowbringer riding maps.

After spending a lot of time and gil gearing up RDM .. I’ve decided to make DRG my main again. I’m going to miss the support I can give casters as a RDM (and being able to bring a raid back from the brink with rapid-fire Verraises is an awesome feeling), but leveling DRG to 70 reminded me of how much I love the Job and how much I’ve missed it. In some ways it doesn’t matter; I’ll be picking up Gunbreaker in a few months. I considered just sticking with RDM until then. But I’m having too much fun with DRG now.

Bonus answer: I love kitchen sink burgers. Put everything (and lots of it) on that bun. Lettuce, tomato, raw onion, caramelized onion, those little fried onion things, mayo, mustard, ketchup, cheese, bacon, jalapenos, bleu cheese crumbles, bleu cheese sauce, chipotle sauce, steak sauce, and probably a few others I can’t think of right now. There’s really no wrong way you can make a burger as far as I’m concerned. I know what I’m doing for lunch now, too.

I had been playing a lot of Shroud of the Avatar where I finished the storyline and got a village lot deed land deed, village lot house design land deed(but will use another for my house, probably I will place a stone Keep).
A nice night view of volcanos in Nightshade Pass:

For AO I continued to level and do a little bit of everything. I am to the point I should probably gather some cash doing missions in order to upgrade my outdated implants but big mean killing machine…errr…my robot does very good job still. I didnt take a screen this time but it worths doing so as I got a mech that actually also looks more dangerous than my previous “tin-man”.

I also been playing STO in small doses. I am a bit unusual in STO because I make ship projects each with their own gears and I dont transfer gear from ship to ship which ends up more expensive but also means my ships are instantly flight and battle worthy with different setups each. So I got an Antiproton Damage in Space endeavor and got my old main carrier, Moby Dick(how I named my Advanced Obelisk since it looks a bit like Space Whale), out for a some fighting and of course took some screens of one of my favorite engineering carriers:

I also made a new char on both Albion Online and Wild Terra and spent a couple hours in Project Gorgon and done 3-4 lvl 4 missions on EVE Online. I am also wanting to get a bit on ESO in the weekend and maybe check a bit on DFO and Tibia

As for burgers its typically cheese, turkey slice meat, tomate sauce with a tiny bit mustard. And of course I got to give my cat turkey slice during making it cause he is crazy about them

DBAT, FFXIV, possibly some Vindictus, and Super Dragon Ball Heroes World Mission (god that’s an obnoxious title). FFXIV I’m basically one or two NMs away from dinging 60 in Hydatos so I can start grinding towards my weapon upgrades/maybe looking into doing Baldesion Arsenal at some point. May also poke into Sea of Thieves for a session, but who knows.

FFXIV and ESO have my attention this week.

FFXIV: For the first time ever, I’ve completed the MSQ ahead of content. Also finished getting all the flight paths and now working to unlock all the 70 dungeons, which is a rather convoluted affair… FFXIV is famous for that.

ESO: 5th anniversary! The rewards are the best during this event and I’m fully taking advantage. I love getting a ton of motifs I don’t have! It’s like candy dropping everywhere. I guess ESO is like a pinata currently!

Bonus question: I can’t remember the last time I ate a burger. With a Type 1 Diabetes diagnoses 4 years ago, I worked breads and beef products out of my diet and have been taking measures to go keto as much as I can. I guess I can say I love my salads with avocado, cheese and chicken.
