Sometimes you just can’t get an NPC to shut up in a video game. Sometimes you can’t get multiple NPCs to shut up. And while you can debate whether or not the latest Saturday Night Live sketch was directed specifically at The Division 2’s batch of NPCs, the developers on the game certainly took it as a personal jab… but a good-natured one, as they linked the sketch and noted that Damien and Ethan will be much less chatty in the next patch.
The actual sketch itself, of course, relates to an awful lot of games that decide your first priority is to play couples therapist before you do any of the stuff you actually bought the game for. You can check it out just below; while you might not think it’s just a sin of The Division 2, you’ll probably still be happy that Damien and Ethan will be sorting out their own issues from now on. (No word on the mission room, though.)
