This week, Closers has kicked out a pretty extensive update that brings events and adjustments to the side-scrolling anime beat-em-up. While pre-registration for the new Closer character Bai is a feature, there’s also a new points ladder system and a huge swatch of balance changes to several characters. [AL:Clo]

The Divine Battle system asks players to join a faction — Magra or Dogra — and complete missions to earn points for their side. Climbing this ranking ladder will open up various ranking rewards as well as the opportunity to earn and craft specialty items with faction-specific crafting materials. There are three phases to the Divine Battle, with the opening phase running from now until Monday, April 22nd, and a Finale phase that lets you earn double points between the 22nd and 30th of April. The Curtain Call phase during where players can collect their rewards runs between Tuesday, April 30th, and Tuesday, May 7th.

The update has also kicked off several events, a rework of the Title and Achievement system, and a number of balance tweaks to several members of the Closers roster. All of the salient details can be found in the patch notes.
