This weekend, we covered some pretty exciting news for Star Wars MMO fans: BioWare is launching a massive new expansion for Star Wars The Old Republic. It’s called Onslaught, and it includes two new planets, new flashpoint, new gear mechanics, even new music.
What got my attention, however, was the playable Nautolan race. I’ve always loved these guys, and Nautolan Kitt Fisto turned out to be surprisingly popular thanks to the Clone Wars show.
Will that be enough to bring me back to SWTOR? I dunno. I’m mostly just thrilled to see SWTOR getting something really big. It’s been too long, and this will dovetail so nicely with the movie this year. I’d love to see this game break the top five again.
How about you? Will you go back to SWTOR for Onslaught?

The content came way too slow when I played. It’s been 9 years since I started playing and the number of raids is still a single-digit number!
The number of PVP maps? Also single-digit number.
There is more going on in SWG Legends for May the 4th this year than there is for SWTOR’s May the 4th. Which is bad because the SWG Legends people don’t even get paid and just work on the game in their spare time.
There was some good stuff in SWTOR. Some good storylines that were well written and some nice voice acting. But EA are greedy bastards and they are in full control. They develop the bare-minimum to look nice to an outside viewer or Star Wars fan with rose-colored glasses, and then they milk as much as possible while delivering little more than promises of things to come.
If EA loses the star wars license and someone else starts developing the game, I might give it another chance.
I… cannot… wait.
Maybe, but kind of doubt it. I’ve gone back and forth with TOR enough to see the flaws with it and I’ve lacked interest in going into further expansions.
Thanks, but no thanks. Too little, too late for me.
If they put the Aussie server back then sure.
Yes! Yes! Yeeesssss!
Two things I’ve wanted for so long!! A new exp and Nautolans!! Win, win!
All is forgiven BioWare xxx
Actually, I’ve been playing it for a week now and I like it.
Not as long as EA still controls the game.
Every time I’ve gone back, I’ve regretted it about a week later. I don’t even finish out a month.
Sadly this too has been my experience :(
Nope.
