If you’re a console Warframe player who’s been meaning to take another trip to the Plains of Eidolon, now’s the perfect time to do it because the zone’s extensive remaster, which brings a complete visual overhaul, performance improvements, new activities, and new enemies to conquer, is now live on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

The star of the show here is the zone itself, which now boasts “updated terrain textures, dynamic lighting, richly detailed trees and foliage, [and] a more nuanced day/night cycle” plus a whole bunch of technical improvements to make performance “smoother than ever.”

On top of that, though, there are also a few new things to do on the Plains to make returning worth your while. The conservation system introduced with the Fortuna update has made its way to the Plains, allowing players to track and trap three new critters, for which they’ll earn a new conservation badge as well as three new floofs with which to decorate their Orbiters.

In addition, the update also adds a new type of enemy, Grineer Tusk Thumpers, which are “mobile defense platforms that are just as efficient as they are deadly.” Taking some of these menacing machines out of commission will earn players three new Tusk Thumper floofs to add to their piles of plushies. To see the new Plains of Eidolon in all its glory, you can check out the official remaster trailer just below, or you can read up on all the updated details over on the game’s official site.
