Grab a RIFT flame squirrel pet from Gamigo and MOP in honor of the game’s first battle pass

7

RIFT players are in the midst of the game’s very first battle pass, which offers special daily quests and 30 levels of rewards to players who ante up the $9.99 it costs. The studio’s granted us some goodies to pass along to our readers in honor of the first season: evil squirrels!

Specifically, they’re flame-based squirrel pets named Laztigo. He’s cute and he’s flaming mad! Click the Mo button below (and prove you’re not a robot) to grab one of these keys!

No keys left! Sorry.

Here’s how to redeem your code: New players should register on the official site; existing players can log in to their existing accounts. Then Players should click on “Account” and then “Apply Code” to attach their code to their account.

Standard giveaway notes: If there’s no captcha or Mo button and all it says is “No keys left! Sorry” in big letters, then we’re out of keys. If we get another batch from the studio, we’ll send out a note on social media. Having problems with the captcha not working? Try an alt browser or clear your cache. And finally, hang on to your code! If you lose it after all of our keys are given out, we cannot retrieve it for you.

Good luck and have fun!

Battle Pass is the new thing all over the place. Thanks Fortnite :D

Actually I think they’re okay, depending. They’re trying out using Battle Pass type things in Torchlight Frontiers, and they work out pretty well there. Other than the lag and issues from the alpha preventing me from being able to get most of the gifts from the first Battle Pass they gave us to test for free, which makes me sad. Maybe they’ll give us another chance to get them (crossing fingers), or do a wipe so all of this doesn’t matter one way or the other.

Isn’t this pet already something you can get in game with planarite from a vendor in the old capitals, the Vanilla ones were notorious for only selling the different plane touched squirrels and the BIS Soul Engine?

This is not the same pet. I have the old planarite one and just added the new one. This new one is a different model with a higher poly count, better crafted details and has a different animation.

I really don’t know what I think about the current “battle pass” trend, but a pet flame squirrel? Thanks!

Yeah, no.

Right lmfao. In honor of their new additional subscription system that’s not covered by the subscription system already in place has me scratching my head. Maybe as an apology for the system, but in honor of it? Yeah, no, there is nothing honorable about triple dipping (patron, battle pass, and cash shop), it’s just greedy.

I don’t mind the Battle Passes, when they are the main source of the income for the game.

I guess I sort of see what they’re doing though. A Subscription is something that automatically gives you benefits each day, a Battle Pass is something that adds in quests and activities you need to do each day in order to earn rewards. They are different. And the Battle Pass is cheap.

And I’m used to Mobile games that you pay hundreds of dollars to get a single top tier character in a game where you need 5 copies of them to make them valuable and need 4 or so other top tier characters with 5 copies each of them as well – so these piddling things where you pay $10 a month and people complain just sort of seem like a joke to me. They make PC players who complain seem extremely cheap. I wish I could get by with these small amounts on the mobile games I play :P
