As part War Thunder’s effort to include every single combat vehicle ever designed by every major nation in the entire world, another research tree is arriving to the vehicular combat title in the form of Japanese naval vessels with update 1.89.
This new research tree will add an extra 20 naval craft to the game, including cruisers, torpedo boats, and destroyers. As of right now, players can get a more detailed look at two such vessels: The PG-02 artillery boat and the Kiyoshimo destroyer. Of course, those who are extremely hungry for new boats can buy in to closed beta testing of the upcoming content with pre-orders for one or both of these new ships.
Update 1.89 will also bring with it the heavy cruiser class of warship and the opportunity to join the Tester team for free by completing a number of daily tasks. Additional information about the coming update and other vessels arriving from the Japanese research tree are due in the next few weeks, but for now here’s where you can find more.
