As World of Warcraft players are gearing up for WoW Classic’s first big stress test this evening, Blizzard is dropping more teases for the upcoming 8.2 Rise of Azshara update, specifically in the form of new heritage armor for the cutest races in the game. I like gnomes and tauren, so I’m not even gonna make any cow jokes, though I’m definitely thinking “go gnome or go home” right now.

“Players with maximum-level (120) gnomes or tauren who are Exalted with their faction (Gnomeregan or Thunder Bluff respectively) will be able to embark on a new quest line for each race to learn more about their history,” Blizzard says. “Once you complete your quest, you’ll gain a new Heritage Armor transmogrification set unique to your race and be able to show off your pride.

There’s an extra note in the brief dev blog reminding Tauren that they’ll also have to finish the War Campaign quest Stay of Execution post-Rise of Azshara too.
