Astellia addresses community concerns over pre-order items and game balance

Hello, art discussion prompt.

The reveals of founder packs and the commencement of pre-orders for Astellia means that we’re back in the familiar dance of figuring out the value for the money as well as what items will and will not be available in the game’s cash shop. Fortunately for players, you don’t need to figure that out from speculation, as the answers are all available on the official site. The short version is that all of the more game-breaking potential elements are limited by in-game means; items that can unbind items from your character, for example, are not available through the cash shop but only through in-game means.

Similarly, the game’s dungeon ticket system will not include the option to buy or sell tickets; they’re regenerated over time and also awarded through in-game quests, and boosts just make them regenerate faster with a higher cap rather than just giving you tickets. Players can also be assured that keys for the game’s beta testing will be available through means other than pre-orders, although pre-orders are obviously the most straightforward way to assure you get keys. Check out the full rundown to answer any more questions you might have about the packages and associated rewards.

Haven’t all these Korean games with pre-order packages been pretty mediocre so far? I can’t recall any good releases which used this type of pre-order marketing.

I agree. As pre-order packages go, Astellia’s offer one of the worst. Overpriced for a game that has no name recognition or marketing.

It will be ultra p2w with founders packs and early access fees like I have been posting since day 1.

How is it going to be ultra p2w?

It’s not. They actually are not opening up dungeons and the PvP area so that those who have early access and rush to cap can’t get a huge advantage over people who start 5 days later.

The game looks pretty good and has gorgeous graphics. I’ve kind of not been paying much attention to the latest releases, but this one I’ll take a deeper look at.

It might look nice but on unreal3 you will be seeing it 15 frames at a time.

Unreal 3? wtf…. didn’t U4 release in like 2014?

I’ve watched hours of play and framerate was fine. Maybe something that has improved since SK launch. But framerate looks to be a non issue from what I’ve seen.

Eh… Bad framerate isn’t do to games using UE3. It is do to incompetent developers not knowing how to utilize UE3 or using really crappy scaleform UI. It could have decent frame rates if the game is done by competent devs. Unlike BHS or Neowiz.
