A few weeks ago we teased newly announced MMO Eternal Magic for offering a beauty contest “for the girls,” which, OK, we all know what they’re really up to, wink wink nudge nudge. But that game has been one-upped this week by League of Maidens, which bills itself as an “online real-time action superhero RPG […] featuring beautiful maidens with guns and super powers.” And butts. And boobs. Yeah it’s mostly butts and boobs. Very oddly shaped boobs. Um, none of this is safe for work, just to be clear. And it has a Patreon as of today, which is why it’s in this column against my better judgment. What is happening. I am deceased.
Meanwhile, Playcraft successfully funded on Kickstarter, Albion Online has continued to struggle with DDOS attacks, Ashes of Creation updated players on the state of development, Shroud of the Avatar dropped R66, and Ship of Heroes teased leveling mechanics. Plus, Destiny’s Sword launched on Kickstarter!
Read on for more on what’s been up with MMO crowdfunding over the last week, plus our roundup of all the crowdfunded MMOs we’re following!

Ship of Heroes

Just imagine if video games were suppose to be a realistic depiction of life. I don’t play or watch gaming because Boob physics are correct, someone tell the author of this article.
Might need to check this out; for research purposes, obviously.
Also no one told me Santa was working on AoC.
I guess this is the end result when you the type of grown men designing something for the type of young men and teens both of which have never got near a pair of real boobs in their lives . lol
If we really want to get nit-picky…
Worlds don’t work that way.
There’s no such thing as Superheroes, let alone overly sexualized boobs and butts.
I mean, why focus on the women’s boobs to point “Thats not realistic!”
NONE OF IT IS REALISTIC. ITS FANTASY.
Not the point.
:P I thought he made a couple of great points :P
Funny that his couple of “great points” only affect women.
Maybe double entendres only work if you have watched too many “carry on films” :P
I wouldn’t know what any of that means.
I know that the “fantasy” stuff doesn’t fly when only women are wearing dysfunctional sexualized gear. When male armor is workable and badass, and corporate thinks that the equivalent of badass for women is sexy. It isn’t.
There’s a point?
There is.
Best reviewer world.
Specially since he shares the same hatred i feel about Nexon.
OMG this image. Somebody’s gonna have some major back pain.
That image is wrong in so many ways.
Also, that hat doesn’t fit.
In 30 years she’ll need wheel stands for both her boobs just to walk to the bathroom.
And in 60 years it doesn’t bare thinking about :P
At first, I looked at the header image and once again thought to myself “I’m more concerned about necks and hands not working that way.” Seriously, who did that art and just left hand in neck like that? Those poor green demon girls! Not to mention boot in face, and floating, and…
Then I watched the video a little, and laughed. They should have totally gone with “Gun Girls” since that would reference the inane size involved, if not provide any hint of the odd motions and strange structural internals that keep those things in a set shape there.
Yeah, this was just bad. Enough so that this post has failed to do it justice in it’s atrocity. Who the heck came up with this game, and why are they not getting the medication they need?
Times are changing does anyone remember all the crap a game called Scarlet Blade got for this stuff. Today it doesn’t seem like a big deal anymore. I guess games like this can thank Scarlet Blade.
Yes.
Ok, that was hilarious. I also watched that Eternal Magic trailer so that was amusing too. I’m not against cheesecake or boobs or anything but man that looks ridiculous!
To offer a little balance, how about some Ion Maiden? I beat the preview campaigns last week before tackling Sigil, and she’s pretty bad ass (the lawsuit is ludicrous but I doubt it’ll go anywhere:
Who says they have to be portrayed realistically in videogames?
I don’t think any of men would want to see male characters walking around with unfeasibly large packages in their budgie smugglers in a video game would we ?
If it’s not acceptable for a male character then why should it be for a female one ?
