Path of Exile drops patch notes and a walkthrough of 3.7.0 Legion’s big changes

Grinding Gear Games’ MMOARPG Path of Exile is launching its Legion expansion next week, which means the studio is cranking out info ahead of the update. There are three big things you should point your eyeballs at this week.

First, the 3.7.0 patch notes are up and live with everything from the Legion Challenge League details to the most minute UI tweaks.

Second – and maybe worth reading before you pore over those notes – GGG posted a lengthy dev blog explaining the justification behind some of the changes it’s making in the expansion. For example, as MOP’s MJ previously wrote, melee combat is getting a huge revamp this round; GGG explains that it’s trying to “create a greater diversity of Melee skills and more exciting gameplay with them from early game through to late game.” It also notes that it’s postponed the rework of the Leech system it had originally planned.

And finally, the team has put up a quick preview of the Atlas of Worlds in Legion, complete with a run-down of maps per tier.
