I’ll have to go back and re-read the news. I don’t recall any of E3’s MMO news to be particularly interesting. Some of their non-MMO stuff was cool but I didn’t find anything memorable about MMOs except the bit about Phantasy Star coming over.

It didn’t “suck”.

But it’s pretty telling when we expected, as a community, to be sucky and it was…whatever.

Stagnation doesn’t impress me.

It didn’t?

Well, for status quo MMOs maybe not. It sucked badly for anyone looking for something else.

Yeah, PSO2 alone made this one of the better E3’s for MMO’s in recent memory. It’s been quite a while since the heyday’s of MMO’s going big at E3, but it’s at least nice that we got some pretty good announcements.

So we got some expansions for old MMOs and an old MMO releasing in the west :/

Yeah, it sucked.

because unless we;re getting new MMOs constantly all is doom and gloom, nevermind ESO and ff14 are running steady and strong?

We got one type of content, focused on the only catered to player-bases (raid/dungeon stuff and solo focused people, and all combat really)… and those who aren’t happy with that are supposed to leap with joy?

No thanks. I’m happy that content is coming for those enjoying their experiences in these games, but there’s a distinct lack of improvement in the offering of different experiences.

That’s not what I said, but thanks for jumping to that assumption, buttercup?

Basically it sucked because everything on here was OLD news. Why even bother? Basically: there is no new MMO news so it was a waste of space and time. So it sucked.

You have a very strange definition of “didn’t suck.”

Reader

…opposed to you having a disagreeable understanding to what “sucks”?

Reader
Nathan Aldana

whats your definition of not sucking then? burn ing down fortnite banners while shoving 15 new mmos that will inevitably not catch on as hard as ff14 or ESO or wow?

I couldn’r agree with you more! And I don’t even like E3. o.O

I don’t think it could be possible to disagree more.

It’s a slightly snappier title than the more accurate “E3 contained almost no MMO news of interest in contrast to last year’s absolutely no MMO news of interest, which is technically an improvement”.

I do so hate to disagree with the Editor in Chief ;-), but yeah, definitely nothing Earth-shattering at E3.

Sorry, none of that MMO news is really noteworthy. Glad to know PS4 players get the joy that is BD grind-till-your-eyes-bleed. Whee! At least they can grind from the comfort of their couch I suppose. Personally I was most excited about Ghost Recon Breakpoint news. Can’t wait for that one. That and Borderlands 3. The MMO space is a big pile of MEH to me right now.

EDIT: Since when is Dauntless an MMO?
