Elder Scrolls Online swaps midyear events over game performance, Elder Scrolls Legends launches Moons of Elsweyr

Traditionally, as we approach the middle of the year, Elder Scrolls Online pushes out the Midyear Mayhem PvP event. But you might have noticed that isn’t the order of things this year, as this week ZeniMax announced it was running a celebration event for the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood DLC instead.

“In light of our ongoing work to improve game performance and the Activity Finder, we are holding the Midyear Mayhem event until next year to ensure that the player experience is a good one. In its place, we are moving forward the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood Celebration Event, which will run from July 2 to July 15, and will give players the chance to earn the Event Tickets needed to start the Onyx Indrik mount evolution.”

So PvPers are apparently a bit miffed at the postponement, but the replacement events roll on, with double rewards in the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood zones and content, the requisite DLC sale, and ticket events for the latest Indrik mount evolution.

In other Bethsoft Elder Scrolls news, The Elder Scrolls Legends MMOTCG this week launched its latest expansion, Moons of Elsweyr.
