CCP Games has been pushing out so many promos and events for EVE Online the last few weeks that it’s hard to even keep up. With barely time to breathe since this past weekend’s comms blackout, the studio’s now announced two more initiatives.
First, there’s the new “season of skills” promo, which essentially builds on the ongoing dynamic invasion content with a skill point event spit into three chunks, the first of which is starting today. “As an Alpha pilot you can claim up to 200k Skill Points, but upgrade to Omega and you can claim up to 650k Skill Points throughout the event, as well as Cerebral Accelerators,” CCP says. Then next week there’s a skill point buff for killing Triglavians, and a bonus skill point weekend in August too. (Wilhelm at The Ancient Gaming Noob does a crisper job of breaking it down than the official site if you want the details!)
And second, there’s the next phase of the Aether Wars test. Remember back in March when CCP roped nearly 4000 players into the Ather Wars tech demo in an attempt to stress the companies Aether Engine collab with Hadean? Now it’s plotting a second one for August 18th, and you can already sign up for it.
We’re super excited about kicking off Phase Two, and we hope you’ll join us on August 18th to be part of what may become the largest single player versus player fight in the history of gaming 🚀 #tweetfleethttps://t.co/4zyqYrQmSf

Thank you for the link. The unofficial CCP motto right now appears to be “When in doubt, hand skill points out!”
I bet I know what you get if you go there for Halloween.
WTF! First I’ve heard any of this, does CCP even know how to send emails anymore, is all news on social media?
I received an email on the 15th about the Multi-Character Training offer that also included information about the Season of Skills event.
That said, the title only referred to the limited time MCT offer and the mention of the event in the email was somewhat vague. But there was an email.
