The latest update for Nexon’s classic side-scrolling MMORPG MapleStory, Pathfinder: Squadron of Heroes, is live today, bringing with it oodles of new content, including a new party quest, the new Hero Squad activity, new Adventure Island features, and more. Leading the charge in this update is the new Ancient Ruins party quest, in which players will have to cooperate to “navigate portals, study constellations and activate switches in a set order to unlock treasures” before facing off against the fearsome Ancient Guardian boss.

Meanwhile, those who prefer to be their own teammates can take on the Hero Squad: Immortal Gorgons battle, which gives players the opportunity to create a team of heroes comprised of the characters on their accounts, with which they will square off against the mythical, stone-gazed and serpent-coiffed gorgons Stheno, Euryale, and Medusa with the objective of doing as much damage as possible in the allotted time. Players will earn adventure coins for their efforts, and those who rise to the top of the damage rankings can earn damage skins, titles, and even a fancy chair!

On the more relaxing side of things, Adventure Island has been updated with new mini-games and Adventure Tiers. And last, but not least, the Beast Tamer class makes its return in this update, allowing players the opportunity to create Beast Tamer characters for a limited time. For more details on all of the new goodies in the Pathfinder: Squadron of Heroes update, be sure to check out the full announcement on the game’s official site.
