OARPG Pagan Online leaves early access (and bumps up its price) on August 27

This summer, Wargaming and Mad Head Games have been focused on their roadmap for upcoming OARPG Pagan Online, an “intense action RPG” featuring a pre-Christian mythological setting and MOBA inspirations. And as of today, we have a date for the final product: August 27th. That’s when the game will depart early access and enter the wilds of launch – with the accompanying $29.99 pricetag reflecting what Wargaming calls a “premium title” and service that will continue to see content and gameplay updates post-release. Do note, you can pick up the game cheaper ($19.99) on Steam right now.

According to the devs, the launch will include a full story campaign with eight acts, click-to-move controls and controller support (by popular demand), two additional player toons (a dual-wielding ice construct and a fire scrapper), the fabled weapons system, new skill trees, revamped crafting and loot, and extra endgame content.

Our own Not So Massively columnist sampled the game’s early access this spring, finding it polished and fun – and problematic only in its unlock system. “If that issue can be sorted, this will be a game I’d be happy to give my unvarnished recommendation to,” he wrote. “Unlock mechanics aside, Pagan Online is pretty dang fun.”

Do yourself a favor and get either Killsquad or Inquisitor: Martyr instead. Their devs aren’t trying to squeeze mobile gameplay onto PC.

Ooh Killsquad looks interesting not heard of that one before so thank you for pointing that out, added to wishlist for when it comes out of early access.

Inquisitor: Martyr is a solid game and well worth the time now its in 2.0

Funny, cause i find Killsquad to be the mobile gameplay those devs pushed.

Could you elaborate? Killsquad has some of the best skill based action RPG gameplay I’ve ever played. Random levels and MOBA type progression isn’t from mobile. What is it you feel is mobile gameplay on Killsquad?

Pagan seems to have stand there and spam heal pots and skills gameplay. That isn’t from mobile either and I’ll be asking him the same question about Pagan that I’m asking you about Killsquad, but could you explain what you feel is mobile gameplay on Killsquad please?

Personal preference?
Torchlight , Diablo , Titan Quest , Grim Dawn and so many other games play like Pagan Online. Even Path Of Exile. Spam a lot of skills and pots.
I love gameplay like this, grind to get loot and gt stronger. And its been around way before mobile games started copying them.
As for me Killsquad is too simplistic. Too little features , thus comparing it to mobile action rpg games. And my refund.

Hello :D I’m not very familiar with Pagan. What about it do you consider them trying to squeeze mobile gameplay onto a PC?

+1 internet points for starting your trailer off with

WAAAAAAAAUUUUGHHHHH!

It does look like it might be fun but I’m not even remotely interested in MOBA mechanics.

Might be worth a closer look.
