The scales of judgement weight heavy.

A month after the release of Final Fantasy XIV’s latest expansion, things are back to normal. Oh, sure, you’re still dealing with a strangely unfamiliar realm with different social and cultural mores that feel unsettling and unusual, but you can get back into the business of picking up weekly tomestones with the patch 5.05 release of Tomestones of Phantasmorgia. This coincides with the launch of the new Eden (Savage) content, along with new tomestone gear that’s so edgy buying a full set automatically gets you a DeviantArt account circa 2004.

The patch also brings balance changes for several jobs, like MP cost drops for Red Mage, numerous potency bumps for Astrologian, the return of Energy Drain for Scholar, and quality-of-life improvements for Monk. There’s also the new treasure map dungeon the Dungeons of Lyhe Ghiah, new items and recipes, and plenty of fun stuff for players across the board. Check out some screenshots just below, or just get in and start playing.
