TERA Classic shows off its gameplay in new trailers

Someone wanted this, maybe.

Despite the name, TERA Classic is not an intentionally backwards-looking server ruleset; instead, it’s a completely separate mobile game by Kakao game that does intended to stay as close to the game’s classic version as possible, despite the change in platform and engine and so forth. How close is it staying? You can check that out in the new trailer below, which is technically a few different official trailers spliced into one video since they’re all along the same theme regardless.

The game’s old maps, quest flow, world bosses, and other elements have been given a thorough recreation in this title, which will hopefully bring a smile to the face of any fan of the game’s original incarnation. Less likely to prompt a smile is the fact that there are still no announced plans to give the game an overseas release, although we would urge people to recall that “no current plans” for a title launching in its native country next week is a very different statement from “it’s never going to happen.”
