WildStar composer Jeff Kurtenacker answers fan questions about the game’s soundtrack

WildStar is dead and gone, but we will always have the soundtrack, which is all over YouTube for those who perhaps missed out on some of MMO gaming’s best tunes. Earlier in the month, that soundtrack’s composer Jeff Kurtenacker asked fans for questions about the game’s score, and reportedly a whole lot of folks responded, so we now have the first video of Kurtenacker answering those questions.

According to the opening of the video, Kurtenacker has about 43 questions lined up for answering, so we’re likely in for a delightfully lengthy series of videos. The first episode provides some insight into the composer’s influences, what song didn’t make it into the game, as well as his thoughts and feelings about some tracks like Two Pistols and an Open Frontier and Cutely Grotesque and Certifiably Insane.

As alluded to before, there’s very likely going to be more videos like this — a lot more — so fans of WildStar’s music would probably want to keep eyes on Kurtenacker’s YouTube channel. For now, the first JK Q&A is below, and for more analysis and thoughts on WildStar’s music, be sure to check out our Jukebox Heroes column for the OST’s top tracks.
