ArcheAge Unchained is launching on September 30 with founder packs live today

The rumors from that weird edited press release are indeed official now: ArcheAge Unchained is dropping on September 30th.

As we’ve previously covered, ArcheAge Unchained is Gamigo’s do-over for the beleaguered MMORPG sandbox. Unchained is essentially a new server for the game that is entirely buy-to-play, with no subscription and no pay-to-win gear or amenities possible – just vanity items, Gamigo promises. It also evens the playing field for things like labor regen, labor caps, and housing opportunities.

Here’s the thing: Buy-to-play means you’re gonna be buying this thing all over again. Founder packs went live on the official site today.

“The ArcheAge: Unchained pre-order starts today on the official website. The fantasy MMORPG is available in three Founder Packs: Silver Chainbreaker Pack for 25,99 $, Gold Chainbreaker Pack for 49,99 $ and Archeum Chainbreaker Pack for 79,99 $. ArcheAge: Unchained grants access to the game content developed for ArcheAge during the past five years. All packages offer early character creation, name reservation, exclusive titles and batches. With Gold and Archeum, players receive valuable packages that include additional cosmetic items such as costumes, emotes and a lot more.”

Gamigo’s said it’ll be launching a patch along with this update for both the Unchained server and the live servers too, including the Swiftblade skillset, so it’s a good bet content parity will be maintained along the way.

Gamigo is planning a reveal stream at 1 p.m. EDT, which is gonna collide with the GW2 stream, so heads up there.
