ArcheAge Unchained’s latest stream covers server count, Steam, and labor

If you missed Friday’s ArcheAge stream, then good news for you: The ArcheAge subreddit, which is only slightly more excited for Unchained than the MMORPG subreddit, has helpfully collected all the important takeaways.

Notably, Gamigo has indicated it’ll add two servers per region to begin with, adding more if necessary. (Given the buzz about this, we suspect it’ll need several more.) It’s not clear yet what the population cap will look like, nor whether a faction lock will be added later to deal with the inevitable faction balance problems.

While Gamigo did say in the August stream that Unchained will launch on Steam, ideally on September 30th, the most recent stream suggest the company won’t be talking more about that until closer to launch, so maybe don’t count on that. The studio also added to our understanding of the labor revamp, as it sounds like the regular/F2P version of the game is also getting the revamp and that labor potions may no longer be sold there either (we already knew they wouldn’t be in the Unchained cash shop).

There’s still plenty we don’t know about Unchained, so stay tuned for Gamigo’s infodumps.
