The Daily Grind: What MMOs are in your backlog?

roar?

Most all gamers know the bittersweet feeling that is to have a huge backlog of unplayed games thanks to seasonal sales and impulse purchases. We’re stuffed to the gills with entertainment and lacking the time and bandwidth to play them all.

I assume that happens, perhaps to a lesser degree, with some of us in the MMO community. I often have a backlog of MMOs at any given time that I wouldn’t mind playing… if I had the time. Right now that pile includes Guild Wars 2, Neverwinter, and ArcheAge, but it could grow and shrink depending on my interest in the future.

What’s your backlog like? Do you have MMORPGs that you have been thinking about trying, returning to, or branching out into, but you either haven’t pulled the trigger or haven’t had the time yet to handle them?

Every morning, the Massively Overpowered writers team up with mascot Mo to ask MMORPG players pointed questions about the massively multiplayer online roleplaying genre. Grab a mug of your preferred beverage and take a stab at answering the question posed in today’s Daily Grind!

Not really. We have several MMOs we cycle through, but I can’t say I’m really ‘behind’ on any of them.
There are a few class stories I haven’t played personally in SWTOR, but I’ve seen Natalyia play them and that’s enough.
GW2 is basically the same. I did the Norn story quest recently, but I had seen most of it before. I don’t really care about the Asura or Charr stories. Maybe one day.
Been playing Neverwinter a lot since the Gith release, but I can’t call that backlog because I wasn’t interested before… I burnt myself out on the game at launch.
We generally blow through content in games so it’s pretty easy to jump in, do whatever is new and then jump to another.

Backlog? I’m still waiting for the MMO drought to end so I can have a frontlog.

Retail WoW. Its my nerd dream to do all quests in game for at least one faction and do achievement hunts. But every time I realise how much time it will require to finish all zones I say “No fucking way”

And oh, yes…I need to return to B&S and TERA at some point in the near future. Thanks for reminding me! /bows <3

ESO, I’ll get to it eventually. I am too busy enjoying BfA with my Hubby and GW2 solo as well as giving Caravan Stories a try.

I really would like to play all the class stories in swtor. I just can’t commit to for some reason. It might have to do with what EA keeps doing to the game lately.

GW2 and ESO. I’ve especially been wanting to get back to ESO but LOTRO always beckons.

I am not playing an MMO currently and I don’t have a back log of any I wish to play. However I do have a big backlog of non MMO’s that I am working my way through :)

I’m mostly actively playing FFXIV, but at some point I’d like to sit down and play through the ESO and SWTOR stories, just to see them once. I like themeparks, there’s an obvious theme. Honestly, and more importantly, I think it’s just because there’s an official ending to these particular games.
