Korean mobile MMORPG TERA Classic adds the Elin Lancer

Hold me closer, Elin Lancer, stab the mobs that stand in your way.

The Korean-only mobile MMORPG TERA Classic has decided to give the game’s tiniest race one of its biggest weapons. Or maybe they misheard the title of Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer” and got confused. In any case, Elin Lancers are now a thing.

Much of the same Lancer skills are available here as in the PC version, with familiar abilities like Leash and Onslaught and a gameplay style that’s all about soaking up damage with your shield. One of the bigger differences between this Lancer and the PC Lancer is that there’s a shield extension skill which changes some abilities into aggro-drawing moves.

You’d be forgiven for thinking TERA Classic is a progression server or a retro server version of the MMO given the popularity of another Classic-leaning MMORPG, but it’s not: TERA Classic is a wholly unique game by Kakao that takes the original TERA and makes it mobile, though there are a few story differences owing to the fact that it starts 20 years before the events of the PC game. TERA Classic is also not TERA M, the other mobile game based on the IP.

If all of that confuses you, just watch the tiny lancer do her thing in the video below instead.

Does Classic already have most of the other race/class combinations the PC version had? Also, is it more gender locked like M was or same as PC in that respect too?

Yeah but they weren’t in the mobile version. So basically it should have said Elin Lancers are now a thing in the mobile game :P

Just like the mobile release of Perfect World doesn’t have the most popular class / race from the original game yet but will be adding it later on. Which is why I didn’t even pause to play it and uninstalled it (obviously not the only reason, but the catgirls I went to play weren’t there and it miffed me).
