Forget your pumpkin spice lattes, Tyrians, because you will soon be drinking deep from the cup of a balance patch that is due to arrive in Guild Wars 2 on October 1st. You won’t have to wait until then to find out what is going to happen to your class because ArenaNet posted the patch notes of the sweeping changes for all of the professions.

Don’t start hyperventilating just yet; ArenaNet knows you fear change and provided lengthy explanations of just what is happening to each class so that you can fortify your delicate psyche. Some classes are getting tweaks here and there, while others are seeing entire skills reworked or replaced wholesale.

Of particular note is a major rework to Necromancers’ death magic specialization, heavy adjustments to Rangers’ sword skills, new tactics for Warriors, and a change to alacrity and barrier effects.

Looking for more in-depth analysis of all of these class changes? YouTuber Wooden Potatoes took over two hours to carefully comb through them.
