There must be a pastime of throwing cash in Soulbound Studios’ direction among the members of the Chronicles of Elyria community because the kitty for the Kickstarter-versary crowdfunding event we reported on earlier keeps getting money. Week 3 has officially begun and the associated money raising drive has gotten over the $560,000 mark.
Naturally, hitting these funding milestones has meant an expanding list of in-game items and features. Most recently, players have unlocked a Hunter’s Cloak item, a Hot House greenhouse tent, and the ability to use story points at character creation to indicate which story arcs they want to experience. Since the fund keeps growing, another two stretch goals have since been added: the addition of a subterranean volcanic biome that will be full of rare and unique minerals to find, and the addition of uncharted islands at the far edges of the game’s world for players to discover. These unlock at the $660k and $780k mark respectively.
Of course, getting to those milestones means a bunch of new items to purchase this week in the event shop, including gliders, a mountain goat mount, and a trebuchet among other offerings.
