Alpha 3.7.0 for Star Citizen is a pretty big deal for the game. It’s been the subject of numerous Inside Star Citizen videos for the past few weeks and it dominates the September 2019 monthly report, but it also is edging closer to live release with the update’s first arrival to the PTS.

As alluded to, most of the September report brings up work done for alpha 3.7.0, but it also has a few tidbits on things being worked on for future updates. Some notable entries include the New Babbage spaceport moving from greybox testing to final art with final design and location details nailed down, the ship art section noting development on “a very important upcoming ship,” and the level design section mentioning new missions that will involve tasks like recovering a hijacked ship, solving puzzles in a new location, capturing points, and helping the criminal community in some fashion. It also alludes to development on three “important yet currently secret features.”

As for alpha 3.7.0 itself, the patch notes offer all of the details for the current build on PTS. Testing focus for this update include the Banu Defender ship, FPS mining and all of its related gameplay features, the new ship rental system, proximity assist and manual VTOL features, and a number of others. For those who have the PTU installed, you’ll want to get a gander at the patch notes.
