It’s that time of year again when strange little MMO players put on clever disguises, thrust their inventories at developers, and shout, “Deceptions or desserts!” At least, that’s what my alien progenitors instructed me before I came to your world.
Here is one of your semi-humans exploring the “house and horrors” of a game called Blade and Soul. It is currently unknown if the house is a malevolent entity that eats small beings… and if Utakata is passing through its digestive tract. Oh, the consternation!
“Look at all the happy people in their silly costumes, collecting candy and pretending monsters are just make-believe. How adorable,” said Hirku in Secret World Legends.
Hirku knows, my brothers and sisters. Hirku knows the truth.
I am not quite sure why the flora of your planet is so antagonistic toward the risen dead, but IronSalamander8 seems to relish their conflict.
“Perfect this week! I have a picture of Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville’s Lawn of Doom event to share! They’ve decorated Giddy Park (the main hub) for Halloween and it looks great.”
My eyes are vomiting colors.
Of course, if you must celebrate this holiday by disemboweling rotund vegetables and then lighting their corpses on fire, Minimalistway has created a morbid shrine for your depravity.
“I find this simple decoration so beautiful, from All Saints’ Wake event in FFXIV.”
I do not think the pumpkin’s brethren would find it as beautiful. I think they would never stop screaming.
Insanity — temporary or permanent — seems to be a recurring theme of your dark holiday. I can not come up with a better explanation for why a human would voluntarily engage in what you call “jumping puzzles.”
“The entrance to Mad King’s Clock Tower in Guild Wars 2 jumping puzzle has also a certain je ne sais quoi!” said Miol.
Obviously, your speech centers have been affected by your mental breakdown.
I have been instructed by High Command that in order for your life to have continued purpose, you must be given a weekly screenshot challenge. So it shall be. This week, look to the celestial objects in your game worlds’ skies and share them with us all. Who knows? You may be viewing the glory that is my home of G’nxxxphfth.

Most of the celestial shootings I’ve been doing of late have been in Star Citizen, but Onslaught led me to venturing back into a Galaxy Far, Far Away(tm) too.
Eyriss’ apprentice Kira decided to engage in some impromptu sparring after the defeat of Darth Angrel – rumors of her possession by the Emperor at that moment are entirely true…
Hikari and I went bounty hunting in her 325a near ArcCorp. I’m there to provide combat photography.
ArcCorp orbit is apparently relatively hazardous for being so close to such a massive security appart – a Freelancer fell victim to pirates, and here’s a Reliant sent to retrieve the black-box. ArcCorp feels it is important to remind you that it values the safety of everyone.
StarLight News decided to dispatch a Reliant Sen news-ship to the scene; here it is leaving the gas giant of Crusader.
Meanwhile, in the asteroids over Delamar, Northrock security is offering bounties, and a Gladius in on patrol for miscreants.
Really nice ones! :)
I don’t have a good pic of a starry sky, so here’s a Hrothgar on dragonback. And in the Falcon flying contraption from the Moogle event.
So… I was about to post a couple of new screen caps but I was derrailed with some news. I sent MOP a news tip. But… I can’t wait to show Blade and Soul fans this little ditty.
UE4 Engine update is being released in Korea in December! And this is the trailer with in game footage! Keep in mind that what that means for us in NA/EU is a launch sometime in Feb. or March. Assuming there are no huge issues with the release in Korea. *gulp*
O.O !!
*Pigtails hope off-topically the following:
1) Invisible walls will be gone.
2) A seamless world will replace instance’d zones.
3) Clipping will be thing of the past.
4) No pixelicious views on the close up shots.
5) Lag will dissipate on Dragon Points.
6) Summoner pets will actually be grounded as oppose to floating in midair.
7) Perhaps more color (or colour) and detail options in the Character Creator.
8) Better particle physics?
…said appendages will repeat this wish list on the hopefully more topical related article in the near future*
Check this out for more details: https://youtu.be/AU1Z0iQWo5w
My layman’s answers or guesses to your questions.
1. Yes, many walls will disappear but not all. More open areas but there will still be some instances.
2. Hmm, not completely seamless, but much improved.
3. Less clipping, but… I’m sure there will still be some.
4. No pixel views.
5. Less lag!
6. No more floating.
7. Not sure if it will add more colors in CC.
8. Better particle physic, yes!
9. New game modes, Yes!
*The pigtails look very much forward to it*
…and back more on-topically, can’t wait to see what these will look like sans-floating cat then. <3
I may “occasionally” stop to take a shot of the stars, suns, and planets in Star Citizen.
G’nxxxphfth? I think I passed that about 15k lightyears ago or so, if you look carefully it should be somewhere in this shot.
Hmm. Ship’s looking a might scuffed, there.
Travelling across the galaxy tends to wear the paint down a bit ;)
I mean, if you try to pronounce the name of your home “G’nxxxphfth”, one would also easily think “your speech centers have been affected by your mental breakdown”. ;P
If your High Command is in need of some new wallpapers for their homes that desperately, they should also get some pointers on how to place them:
These first couple of shots are from nothing less than a GW2 celestial being’s humble abode, where you can clearly see how carefully (shots of) celestial objects have been placed on its ceiling.
Last two pics are simply wallpaper templates, that certainly could be of use for your alien progenitors. ;P
Thx for the plug :)
Taken from the ledge near the old back door to Erebor on Durin’s Day. The sun at sunset with crescent moon visible…and ALL the lens flare ;)
Nice pic!
Not sure if this is celestial…it’s in the sky, it’s ominous and it may or may not contain a “dungeon” with a bunch of dragons in it :)
To quote the late musician, Prince, completely out of context: What the heck-a-slammin’ is that, Vincent? What am I looking at here? Even enlarging the pic doesn’t give me many clues.
Help a Bat-friend out, you Riddler! :-)
It’s the Aery, an MSQ dungeon from Heavensward (FFXIV). Here is a better, unobstructed view of it at dawn :)
Or how about…
Blue moon you saw me standing alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own
PS: And thanks for the plug I think, Mr. Justin…as the caption does remind of those unfortunate days I had to make frequent trips to the bathroom. /eww >.<
…a bit of a spoiler alert for that cut scene though:
Thanks for the feature. Everything is true!!!
Like a rhinestone cowboy
Riding out on a horse in a star-spangled rodeo…? o.O
You may be the last person on Earth that I ever expected to reference that song! :-)
I didn’t expect to see a cowboy riding across The Shire either. o.O
He’s like a cowboy with fur on his feet, instead of spurs on his boots! Nice one, Hirku!
