ArcheAge Unchained’s offer of free Diligence Coins is rescinded over account claim errors

ArcheAge Unchained just can’t seem to catch a break. Last week we reported on a bundle of Diligence Coins and labor rechargers that were going to be offered while the ArchePass is shut off. It now appears that offer is off the table due to an issue with claims.

This past Friday, November 1st, saw the Diligence Coin bundle offered to appropriate accounts almost immediately run into problems and then get shut down within roughly four hours of it being provided. What happened? There were “issues related to some eligible accounts not receiving the items or other accounts receiving multiple claims,” explains a forum post.

As one could expect, there are some unhappy players out there. One player suggested that Gamigo should go back to the original plan and offer 300 Diligence Coins to everyone and simply reduce the number of Coins for those who had multiple claims, while others just coped by making low-effort memes.

As for what happens now, there’s no update on any official channels as of right now; the team was busy getting the EU Halnaak server back online.

The current servers are so messed up due to this constant messing with the economy. They need a new batch of servers for me to even bother again. Just merge the old ones once it’s only the exploiters left.

OR.. just people who dont really care that like 10 out of thousands exploited and are simply ahead for now. But honestly speaking the game has been loads of fun. And many people moved over to the “fresh” servers right away so they arent dealing with the exploiters anyways.

Started playing after Archepass was disabled already. I’m really enjoying it. I’m probably never going to catch up but I’m not shooting for the leaderboards anyway. My items still sell on the auction house. I have a house and make a decent profit. The game is a lot of fun for the average player. Its a shame there is do many “sky is falling” reviews turning people away on Steam. Only issue is lack of info and an outdated wiki. The game is super deep and its hard to find info when you need it.

You’ll more or less catch up eventually. Basically the exploiters got a little boost here at the start but it won’t matter in the long run.

The only thing that killed the game was the exploiters. I could care less about some bugs and stuff, but the exploiters being allowed to continue playing is what killed the game. Nothing’s more fun than someone with exploited 6500 gear score one shotting a whole raid.
Meanwhile Khorlan is sitting there like “All that gold in the economy will work itself out” – yeah okay, you clearly never played the game yourself if you think people exploiting thousands of gold is not going to have an adverse affect on the game this early in its infancy. Refer to previous statement about people one shotting raids the first week in the game.

It’s very frustrating. I had boughten the Vocation Archepass, and wasn’t able to get any rewards. Also, wasn’t level 40 by the day they stipulated, so wasn’t eligible for the coins. The games systems are still based on a being a patron.

Crafting is such a gold sink, as you have to buy the mats, it’s one gold for 50 mats, I’d just like to craft the mats, obviously this wasn’t changed for a new server with brand new people. They also took out tons of crafting recipes and it’s all very barebones. Let’s not talk about Hiram gear and exploiters.

Fix it or not. Just let me buy expansion scrolls!

Just to say it, outside of this Archepass mess the game is still a lot of fun. Thousands are playing and stealing my f’ing trade packs!!! I wish this was handled better. But at the moment things are OK. This cannot keep happening, though.

This mess is the main reason why I stayed away from AA Unchained. I endured screw-up after screw-up when the game was released the first time. Talk about a sh*t show (I am sure I’m not alone in this sentiment). This round doesn’t seem much better.

I feel for the current players… the frustration, anger, hope and disappointment. Been there. I hope Gamigo/XL can fairly compensate the losses and straighten out this mess to everyone’s satisfaction.

agemyth 😩

They can’t get anything right with the ArchePass or even removing the ArchePass it seems.

I’m still having a great time with the game, but it always sucks to see the game struggle to do some basic stuff.

Yeah like deciding if your going to use labor to craft or coin purses.. I’ve never understood how opening loot cripples you’re ability to play the game, is a fair mechanic.
