Nexon has officially cancelled Dragon Hound

This is what it looks like.

Oh no! Not Dragon Hound! Anything but Dragon Hound! Remember how promising Dragon Hound looked? No, you probably do not even remember that Dragon Hound existed at all, since its development was less marked by genuine enthusiasm and more by a brief announcement and then utter silence for ages. But it doesn’t matter much now, as it has been confirmed that the game has been canned.

For those of you curious about what we lost without the desire to check out the videos below, the title was being built in Unreal 4 and appeared to have at least superficial similarities to the Monster Hunter franchise. No specific reason has been cited for the cancellation aside from Nexon’s ongoing turbulent corporate restructuring; given that Nexon has just come off of a quarter in which it lost plenty of money, readers are invited to make their own guesses. Regardless, try not to fall in love with anything you might see in the preview videos; none of the promises from therein will ever be fulfilled.
