WoW Classic prepares for old-school battlegrounds next month

When it comes to PvP in WoW Classic, the honor system and battlegrounds are meant to go hand-in-hand. But while the honor system arrived a week ago, Classic players are still waiting for the return of Warsong Gulch and Alterac Valley.

They won’t have to wait long: Blizzard announced on the forums that the battlegrounds, along with elemental invasions throughout Azeroth, will go live on all servers on December 10th. This should give a more focused path for grinding those honor ranks!

The studio said that it is pushing battlegrounds live earlier than anticipated due to the “impressive amount of world PvP” that has been happening. Past this patch, Classic players can anticipate Blackwing Lair and Darkmoon Faire to arrive in “early 2020.”
