Black Desert’s Pearl Abyss addresses new succession skills, the Red Battlefield, and more

The devs of Black Desert have been busy collecting gobs of player questions, and now they have a number of them answered, which not only include questions from the NA/EU playerbase, but also some from Taiwan.

Most of the questions from this side of the world focus on improving activities, whether they’re based on progression, monster zones, the Red Battlefield, or Succession vs. Awakened skills. The questions were returned with some thoughtful answers from the devs, such as acknowledgement that more organic grouping for monster zones, confirmation that new things are coming to the Red Battlefield, and an explanation of what Succession skills are meant to do along with a promise that they will continue to work on balancing. The devs also acknowledged the problem with certain uncapped stats in T1 Node Wars and believe that adding more mount-related features will improve strategic and cooperative play.

The Taiwan Q&A segment is even longer than the NA/EU one, with answers regarding adjusting CC, offering a bit more incentive for new players to stay, and a direct calling out of the Dark Knight as a target for balancing; players should expect this to arrive with Succession. There’s really quite a bit to absorb for BDO fans, so make sure to get comfortable as you read through the lot.

“Q. I wish Ranger’s thighs would become a little thinner… I’ve adjusted her thighs to be thinner, but her legs still look too thick.”
“Q. I want a maid that automatically drinks beer.”

100% Black Desert.

Succession skills may be what I needed to try it out – because switching completely weapon (from what i saw in youtube) was a major turn off

now might be a good time to get the grind on, as you can get 53 hours worth of 530% bonus exp and skill gain for less than 1 day’s allowance of loyalty points in the store

It’s a good time to jump in if you want to try ranger or warrior, there’s also an event going on right now where you can “tag” with another character and any experience gained transfers from either character applies to both members.

Theres monetary rewards for getting them to 59

I seriously do not know what is up with currencies with all these types of bars I got in my inventory but I did find where to get a horse, lol. Game is lacking a bit on documentation department for a popular title and during quests dialogues there is an extra windows that has many questionmarks and just numbers and an occasional english world in between them. I guess it is some non translated tips and my system cant show the korean font.

That said I like melee and especially sword and shield types so I think its good I can keep the warrior on that weapon type. I am just lvl 21 there at the moment

I’m still not sure what made them think that everyone wanted to play purely ranged for 56 levels and then swap to playing purely melee. At least we have some choice in the matter now
