EverQuest II’s Frostfell has arrived with new goodies from Santa Glug

Gonna be honest, a dancing gobbo in a santa hat is a bit creepy to me, but I was informed that gobbo is in fact Santa Glug, bringer of presents, and I must never besmirch his name! We’re talking here about EverQuest II, which this week dropped its Frostfell holiday festivities on the live servers.

“Nights are longer and days are colder, which means it’s time to start spreading holiday cheer for the most delightful time of the year – Frostfell! Beginning on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, the Elves and Goblins come together to celebrate this Deepice holiday with festivities, decorations, and more! This year, whether you’re an adventurer or a tradeskiller, you’ll find something new awaits you! Step through the Magic Closet within your city to enter the Frostfell Wonderland Village, an enchanting land of ice and adventure. You are warmly welcome to pay a visit to the Frostfell Workshop, where Frostfell elves have been busy preparing for the celebration. And of course, be sure to keep your eyes open for wandering gifts!”

Daybreak does note that there are a few new bits to this year’s Frostfell, including a trio of new collections, new icons, new edibles, new craftables, ornaments, and for the progression server Kaladim some themed house deco.

MOP’s MJ played through Frostfell last night on stream, if you wanna take a peek at it, but she did issue this warning: that you can’t actually get chocolate coins by buying Frostfell goodies. “It is only when you buy special services in a holiday bundle (character slot, crafting boost, etc),” she says. Apparently, Daybreak’s original announcement to the contrary was in error.
