We all know that the Star Wars Galaxies Legends emulator has a special place in many players’ hearts. Heck, even having the thing online continues to be one of those pleasant industry surprises. This holiday may have just gotten a tiny bit warmer for the game’s community, though, thanks to a lovely holiday message from Chewbacca himself.
We’re not talking a 3-D model of Chewbacca; we’re talking an actual video message from actor Joonas Suotamo himself, the man who has taken up the mantle of everyone’s favorite Wookiee for the late Peter Mayhew. We’re not entirely sure how the folks behind SWGL got this to happen, but by Jove, they did it, and it is fabulous.
For those who aren’t already playing, SWGL has Life Day events and other things spinning up for the month, but we’re going to smile warmly at further validation for an emulated shuttered MMO from official Star Wars luminaries for a moment. Like, seriously, what is going on right now?
