Black Desert Mobile opens a new region and raises the level cap in its first major update

If you’ve been putting your nose down and playing Black Desert Mobile to the absolute max level of content instead of doing work at your job (don’t worry, I won’t rat you out), then you’ll likely be pleased to learn there’s more in-game with the most recent content update, such as an entire new area to check out and five more levels to earn.

The latest update to the mobile MMORPG adds South Mediah, which introduces areas like Altinova, Abun Village, Abandoned Iron Mines, and Marni’s Second Lab, along with new quests and Boss Rushes to take on. The top end also has raised with a new level cap of 60, a new maximum Enhancement level of 35 for weapons and armor, and new Mystical gear to chase down. Players can also take part in a celebratory Hammer of Fortune minigame for rewards like a Tier 3 Snowman pet. If you want those freebies, you’ll only have until the end of the year.

Make sure to read up on all of the specific details for this latest update and the Hammer of Fortune event if you haven’t already.

I’m not anywhere near there and I play pretty constantly. I’m only level 31.

I’ve been having so much more fun with this than any other mobile game (and I’ve tried several)

Shameless self-promotion, me streaming BDM from my phone.

New content to autoplay to your heart’s content!

That’s not how it works, but troll on.
There is actually a lot of content you can’t use any form of auto-fighting.

That is because you are a low level newbie without a clue.

Unlike you, I have “played” this game for 2 months in early access. Once all the quests are over (which happens faster than you think) you will see that there is NO non-autoplay content left other than the PvP arena.

Have fun with your shiny new autoplay MMO clone (really, it’s not different to any Nexon MMO or L2R once the shiny surface wears off). But don’t come back crying 2 weeks from now – I will do my “I told you so” dance.

I will, thank you.

I want to be just like you when I grow up. You couldn’t have been more trollish if you tried with your low level newbie comment.
It’s a bloody Mobile game, and it’s easy enough not to press ‘auto’.
We all know if we want more original content then to grab a P.C or console game, but for a mobile time sink game, this is game is fun enough to keep peoples attention.

I didn’t have very high expectations for this, but ended up playing it quite a lot over Christmas. Even though it has auto combat it managed to keep me entertained. Well worth checking out if you need a time sink. The game keeps rolling out new features as you play, and there ends up being quite a bit to do.
